Hey, I'm Angelie!

Lawyer by training,
operator by instinct,
focused on the future of
legal work.

About me

I'm originally from Mississauga, Ontario. I'm a storyteller, whether it's crafting persuasive legal pleadings, or writing my South Asian inspired fantasy novel.

I'm a romantasy enthusiast, a newbie boxer, and love painting. I value dedication to a craft when no one is watching.

I studied business at the Ivey Business School at Western University before going to law school at Osgoode Hall.

I currently practice corporate commercial litigation at Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP (a seven sister law firm) in Toronto.

What I'm looking for

Working in corporate litigation gave me a close look at how high-stakes legal work actually happens: the strategy, the pressure, the client problems, and also the tedious workflows that slow everything down. It made me want to make legal work faster, more accessible, and more useful to the people and businesses that rely on it.

What I do

  • I'm experienced in the full litigation lifecycle including drafting pleadings, factums, and motion materials, preparing for examinations (depositions) and trial, engaging in settlement negotiations, and participating in mediations and arbitrations.
  • I have worked with complex corporate commercial litigation files including: class actions, corporate governance, tax, contract, construction, environmental, government benefits, labour, and employment.
  • I am equipped to draft and defend employment agreements and contracts.
  • I've honed my ability to persuasively draft legal positions and arguments for court facing documents.
  • I'm experienced in applying research insights to direct strategy and solutions, and spot weaknesses.
  • I learn quickly, execute sharply, and can thrive autonomously.
